After nearly six years driven around in an Opel Zafira 1.7 CDTI 110HP it was time for something else. The Opel was a very good car, it always did and still fairly smoothly. What strikes me is that if you have big feet, you suffer the seats in the second row. These are individually adjustable and therefore concerns also chairs and no bank. At the Zafira you can slide your feet under the sofa in the back row, the seating is more difficult / impossible.
For the children is no objection.

Driving because I can brief about. Very well. Especially when you compare it with the Zafira. Especially sending him doing very fine. Lies like a dyke on the road. Car is good in the corners.
The engine weight of the car perfectly. The upshift indicator is very enthusiastic, below 2,000 rpm he wants all to the next gear, which can then also. Basically you switch quickly and that is comfort (noise) also benefited. If you want you can do by pulling it but it still feels unnatural. It is not a GTI, but does he have enough air.
In top gear the engine responds a bit sluggish on the gas, but given the character of the car no point for me.
Consumption of the car is about 1 in 12 to 12.5. More highway mileage has a positive effect on consumption. When traffic will be using around 1 to 8-9. May have to make the wider 18-inch tires, but given the size of the car a good value for me. I have a fairly normal driving (like me to Vmax). However, a significant deviation from the manufacturer.

I have the car now half a year and have only driven a few thousand kilometers and every time I see that it runs smoothly. The only thing as light nuisance is having some buzzing, as if the CD player is running hard. Especially in urban traffic more audible.

The media (Navi / phone / radio) works fine. Only the sequence of phone is very different than on my iPhone, then you sometimes look for a moment. If I have to complain about something, then it might be that the steps of the volume of the radio are quite large.

In short: a very fine car driving very tasty despite its size. The engine is fine match for the car. The car is comfortable to use and very complete. The car is of 12-2011 so as yet no turn / MOT. Children are like me, like in the car.
