I clearly a GTE of the last generation, because I have so far ridden uninterrupted and hassle free

I have a VW Golf GTE in color Carbon Steel since early December 2015. Naturally packed with stuff, because a GTE you can not buy bare. Smart of those guys at VW, because they also know that you'm surely going to order. In addition to the standard I have a sliding / tilting roof, which other wheels, leather upholstery, electric seat adjustment, tinted windows and let add some small stuff.

As I drove only 1900 km this review, in particular, a 'first impression', where I made some remarkable things and plus / minus naming. A more detailed review follows undoubtedly later.

The first asset has little to do with the Gulf itself, but with the availability of electric charging points. In almost every business trip, or a visit to a shopping mall, I do nowadays almost never have to search for a parking space. There is usually still a charging spot available, and are therefore ninety out of a hundred times right next to the entrance of the building where you should be. Ideal!

Another plus sign for CarPlay. I have deliberately waited to buy until the second generation MIB systems were available. At present, it adds little, but I suspect that there will be with the arrival of IOS 10 and later improvement. The car is already ready anyway.

Disappointing is that VW does not give the option to turn on or turn off the GTE features. And I am referring to the daytime running lights and engine noise from the speakers in GTE fashion. I am at once at the dealership along soon, because both features do as I'm concerned tremendous affect the look of the car.

Also noteworthy is that I twice got an error message about this energy recuperation. That message will disappear by itself when the start button is pressed one more time, but reliability is different. See how it develops in the coming period.

My experience with the range (electric) is quite positive. I can charge home and office, and frequently visited addresses also an outlet available. In the short time that I have the car, I drive one at 24. I am confident that I towards the 1 in 30 go crawl in the coming months.

Perhaps the biggest plus of the GTE, is that it is especially just a Wave "is." If you've ever ridden in a Wave (or presumably any other VW product whatsoever), you'll feel right at home. All in all I am satisfied GTE rider and I expect the coming years to be pleased with the car.

Follow updates!
Fingers crossed (17,000 km)

Meanwhile 15dkm further time for an update.

I clearly a GTE of the last generation, because I have so far ridden uninterrupted and hassle free. Last in A-Point for the first oil change / check, where no problems have been detected. Fingers crossed, hopefully it stays that way.

I notice that this car perfectly fits my daily activities. Obviously I plug in wherever possible, and this has so far resulted in an average fuel consumption of 1 to 45. With the added plus sign that the 'actual consumption control "of my company in the meantime to ensure that budget-neutral I can drive. With a net aggregation where an average car owner does not even road taxes plus insurance can pay, I feel very privileged. The 'return' which I previously liver, in the form of electric drive as much as possible, I provide with all enthusiasm.

Of course I have disadvantages and small irritations discovered during the past 8 months. For example, the keyless go not unlock the charging plug. Whereby the system is actually useless, because I have the key yet needed. Or that the car itself does not match the key used (radio station, state of the electric chair, etc.), something I can expect from my BMW nine years old.

But you will understand that these little annoyances only minimally affect the final judgment. I am very content. And the disappointment I felt in the beginning because the 330th for me came too late, disappeared as snow in the sun.
